Blanket Stitch and Monsters

We're having another Craft Party on Monday night and one of the things available to make will be Felt Mistress's Monster from Issue 7 of Mollie Makes. I made this one as an example for people to see. People always compliment me on how neat and intricate my amigurumi dolls are - and I guess they are! But when it comes to sewing and cutting material my ability to be neat and intricate just goes out the window! Straight lines are not my thing. I like how this guy turned out, but if you could see him in real life you would see how inaccurately I cut the shapes and how wonky my sewing is! And for those of you who are into sewing I have a question... How do you start off the first stitch when you are going to use blanket stitch? When I do it the first stitch always comes out wonky. Answers gratefully received!

Look What We Made!

A couple of weeks ago I posted about the latest Plush Team Challenge - FrankenPlush, and I uploaded a photo of 2 arms and 2 legs that I was posting off to Cat of RaggyRat in the UK.

Well Cat recieved these random limbs about a week ago and has now completed our FrankenPlush. Cat's kids have named her Ingrid Ennerver! I think she's awesome :)

This is my part of the latest Plush Team Challenge. I'll be sending this off to RaggyRat in the UK and then she'll do her part and in a couple of weeks we'll see what kind of monster we have created!

StarPuff needs a place to stay

StarPuff is feeling a little bit of culture shock as this is her first visit to planet earth. She would like to meet and get to know some earthlings but she is quite shy. Maybe you could introduce yourself to her and offer help her to settle in on this strange planet. She needs to find a place to stay and then she would like to enrole in an art school. If you want to be her friend you can contact her at my etsy shop.
