International Yarn Bombing Day 2012

It's International Yarn Bombing Day today, and this is what the main street in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina looks like. If you look closely you'll see that each street light has a stripey jumper!

Small beginnings...

I mentioned a week or so ago that we had a plan brewing for a big creative event for young people here in Jajce - the plan is still brewing and is coming along nicely. Today a group of us started limbering up for the big day. Small beginnings but hopefully the end result, when the day comes, will be fab!

The Stuffed Bunny Show is coming up...

The Stuffed Bunny Show opens at the eve-n-odd gallery on 9th April - that's this Saturday. If you live anywhere near St Petersburg Florida then make sure you go and take a look. There are some really amazing bunnies on show there and they will also be for sale. Nora the Knitting Bunny by me is one of them!

Polly Loves Knitting

Polly loves knitting. She always has her latest project in her bag so that in a quiet moment she can get it out and do some knitting. She has to catch the bus to college every morning and she usually knits as she stands at the bus stop. Some people look at her funny, but most of the regulars are used to seeing her standing there knitting - and some of them have even commissioned her to make them winter scarves and gloves!
